I got to see Paulson play earlier this week to a tiny club that only contained about 30 kids. Those guys are an exciting group to keep an eye on because they continually improve. The set was short (7 songs) and filled with lesser material (two new songs, two from the re-issue of "All at Once," two from "All at Once," and a cover), but it was still a stellar performance.

Highlight: Logan (lead singer) leans into the mic halfway through and mentions that the bar TV was playing "Coming to America" while the band was getting ready to play earlier in the evening. To the surprise of everyone (including the rest of his band), he then announces that the band will play "Party All the Time." They pulled it off (key change and all!) flawlessly. Paulson write great originals, but are also one of the few young bands that can really pull off a good cover song. Last time I saw them play they did a creative version of Oasis' "Wonderwall."
