I inadvertently caught Mike Binder's film "Man About Town" on Showtime tonight. Not a bad piece of work... (This is the film Binder did between "Upside of Anger" and "Reign Over Me".) Quite possibly the best part, though, was Binder's choice in musical score (He is getting quite good at this; The use of classic rock in "Reign Over Me" made the movie in a lot of ways.)
Check out Fredo Viola. He seriously makes opera-and-classical-fueled indie "rock"... I know no other way to describe it. And look for his version of "Our Lips are Sealed" by the Go-Go's. It is not on his MySpace page, but if you can find it on ITunes, I'll loan you the dollar...
It's AMAZING!
